It is illegal to connect a gas cooker yourself. The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 require all gas appliance connections to be made by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
DIY gas connections are dangerous — gas leaks cause explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning. They also invalidate your home insurance.

The most common installation in Walsall — a self-contained oven and hob unit that stands between kitchen units. We connect to the existing gas supply point using a new approved gas hose. £90 fixed, takes around 30–45 minutes.
Designed to sit flush with worktop level. The connection process is the same as a freestanding cooker. Included in the £90 price. We check the anti-tip bracket and levelling legs are correctly set before completion.
60cm, 90cm, 100cm and 110cm range cookers are all covered. These need a slightly higher gas rate than a standard cooker — we verify your supply pressure is adequate. Range cooker installation is £120.
Built-in gas hobs require a cut-out in the worktop (done by you before we arrive) and a rigid or semi-rigid gas connection. Gas hob installation is £150. We carry the relevant adaptors to suit most kitchen configurations.
Gas hob with an electric oven — we handle the gas side of the connection. You'll need a 13A or 32A socket nearby for the electric oven, but we take care of everything on the gas supply, hose and certification.
If you're replacing an old cooker and need the existing appliance safely disconnected and capped off before the new one arrives, we offer a cooker disconnection service for £60 — or we can do both in one visit.
